He is skilled in coronary and peripheral interventions, nuclear cardiology, and transesophageal echocardiography. Practice affiliations include the Center for Men’s Health Services in Encinitas and Scripps in San Diego.
Richard Jacoby, MD F.A.C.C
Interventional Cardiologist, Structural Specialist
Dr. Jacoby has dedicated his career to the study and care of the heart. His experience in the field and outstanding reputation have afforded him the opportunity to serve in some of the best medical facilities in the country. Dr. Jacoby is skilled in cardiac catheterization (5,000+), percutaneous management of complex coronary artery disease. He is also trained in structural heart interventions, including TAVR and MitraClip. Practice affiliations include Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla and Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas.
Stephanie Carter, MD, MPH

Dr. Carter is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. She attended Wellesley College and then earned a dual Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health from Brown University. She completed both her residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Rochester in NY. Special interests include Women and Heart Disease. Practice affiliations include Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
John Harrington, MD
Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Harrington is a solid pillar of support for cardiology care in San Diego and is well known in the community. After graduating from Georgetown Medical School he went on to complete his cardiology training at Scripps. Dr. Harrington is dedicated to taking care of patients during their most vulnerable time by being primarily hospital based at Scripps Memorial.
Katie Moreno, NP
Nurse Practitioner Specializing in Cardiology
Katie Moreno is a seasoned Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience. Katie received her nursing education at the University of North Florida and her undergraduate education at Florida State University. She is passionate about empowering patients with knowledge and support to lead heart healthy lives. During her time away from patient care, Katie is an avid swimmer and treasures time with family.
C. Michael Wright , MD
Board Certified Cardiologist
Dr. Wright is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Lipidology. He received his cardiology training at UCSD School of Medicine, where he is currently a Voluntary Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine. He has published extensively on atherosclerosis imaging and has written a book available on Amazon called “How am I? Guide”. Dr. Wright is also a consulting cardiologist at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
